So, in what seems like a stroke of luck

Post by Deadguy »

The Ramsey 200 PTO winch I bought off Ebay for $195, only needed me to open and re-clock it for it to fit. Haven't bolted it up yet, I', waiting on the overdrive to PTO adapter from Herm, but holding it in place, it looks like it will clear everything, including from the drive shaft to the winch. I may get everything tightened of and eat my words, but so far I just need a longer driveshaft, a simple conversion to make the shifter lever instead of a cable driven, an a little bit of fabrication to make the winch mounting frame bolt to the M38A1 frame. I had the winch out in place in the front of my vehicle, and it looks pretty bad ass!
1952 M38A1
Marine core reinforced rear bumper, military transistorized turn signal upgrade, arctic heater, 11" drum brakes, 200L PTO winch, Huffy overdrive, deep water fording kit, RT 68 vehicle mounted radio, Trac Locs front and rear.
