need info-brand, 'salisbury' ring and pinion

Post by circleburner12 »

do any of you know if the brand, 'salisbury' ring and pinion was used in the m38a1?

also if the pinion has 8 teeth and the ring gear has 43, 43-8 does this make the gear ratio 538?. thanks for any info.

I know that this is by no means authoritative but there is an NOS Salisbury ring and pinion on ebay and the ad does not mention the A1, just CJ2, 3 and M38 - Sonny
