Windshield gasket

I got a replacement windshield gasket for my 1952 M38A1 from Kaiser-Willys. Despite it looking like the correct split glass gasket, they tell me at the glass place it's for a civilian jeep. I ordered a correct one from Midwest Military. I'm hoping Kaiser-Willy's sent me a CJ3 gasket, and that there is a difference between that windshield and the one for a M38A1. I was told my frame is a military one by the glass place, but I just hope it's the right one for a M38A1. Any opinions on this?

My gasket fit the glass very easy on the table before laying over the frame. Only slight stretching and it was clearly the right size and shape.

who did you get it from?

I don't remember who sold it but it was made by a company called "Newstar". I think they are out of Canada.
