Fuel tank relocation

Post by Probs »

My M38A1 doesn't have a fuel tank(previous owner used a boat gas tank sittin in floor board). I'm wanting to mount a tank in the undercarriage so that I can use the underseat area for storage. Anyone know if this is possible or what will fit? Currently have it stripped to the frame and am about to start rebuild.

The 71/72 CJ5 had a rear tank as did the DJ5's and those can be adapted. Creates a new problem with custom exhaust/muffler installation and the filler pipe will need to be cut in the right rear corner.
