Does this gap look excessive? I have no further adjustment so I have to live with it.

Yes I had mentioned that, good memory.
The height isn't really the issue, the center is pretty much on. Its more that the ends dont follow the curve of the cowl enough. I wonder if the 2A cowl may be slightly different than the 3A/M38. It might take some creative massaging to get the ends to pull inward. I just don't want to goof up the paint.
I think, Rick, you have the opposite problem with your MDJuan where the ends are too narrow in, right?
