Crossover tube

Post by timjuhl »

OK, before I go any further let me say that I did research this before asking my question... problem is, I'm still confused (not an unusual state.)

I am replacing my "bubbafied" air intake system with a military oil bath unit. However, I am mating it to a Solex carb (at least until I can afford the proper Carter.) Anyway, I want to confirm that the crossover tube is installed with the larger end to the carb. That would provide a certain amount of pressurized air into the bent tubes inside the crossover unit which are in turn connected to various other items.

Have I got it right or do I need to turn it around?
