bumper id numbers


anyone know how to trace down bumper id numbers and try to figure out the missing ones photos are in my photo gallery

Your photos are not much help. You have two different sets of characters showing and it is impossible to discern in the two dimensional photos exactly which characters are top and which are bottom.

To be sure we are on the same page the photos you show appear to be:
1=right side front bumper
2=Left side front bumper
3&4=Both appear to be the right rear bumperette.

Note: Right front bumper are unit markings that show each echelon of command and the left front bumper shows the company/battery and vehicle number in order of march.

The left rear bumperette has the same info as the right front bumper.
The right rear bumperette has the same info as the left front bumper.

You can get better help if you list the characters in line as you observed them listing all the top layer characters on one line and all the bottom layer characters on a separate line. Also show their locations IE front bumper left, front bumper right, left bumperette and right bumperette.

Left and right are determined as you sit in the driver's seat.

Once you list these on paper you can also refer to either AR850-5 (1942 thru 1954) or TB 746-93-1 (1955 thru about 1970). These manuals list the meanings of each set of characters. You can download them for free or read at:
