AC fuel pump

Will an AC 572 fuel pump work on an F head engine in an A1? This is the glass top type pump. Thinking of picking one up as a spare for carrying with me on extended drives. I realize it does not have the vacuum part.

I don't have an AC fuel application list handy. Did you find the pump laying around and want to know if it will work on an F134?

Normally any approved fuel pump for any of the L or F 134's 45 thru 71 will work. You do not use the thick spacer with the civvy pumps.

No, I didn't have one lying around but I like the glass bowl type and knew its part number. I had also heard before that the spacer was not required with the civvy pump.

It may not mean much but one of my M38A1 parts Jeeps had a fuel pump with an inverted glass bowl. As I recall there was no spacer but I kept all the parts together so can check if you want.

If you are looking for one my plan was to offer the pump for sale "as is" at some future point. I wouldn't put it on a Jeep without going thru it and really haven't checked the availability of rebuild kits for it.
