This question was submitted incorrectly to the web site admin email addy instead of on this board. Wes Km-38 tie rods
ordered center tie rod for my 1952 m-38 and received a three quarter threaded shaft size
upon attempting to replace learned mine was eleven sixteenths threaded shaft size
was both sizes used originally on m-38s?
or was mine possibly switched over?

Yes early M38 with the 2131-x front axles used the small diameter tie rod assemblies and those later ones with the 2166-x front axle assemblies used the larger diameter rods. I don't have a serial cutoff but probably around winter 51/52 thru spring 52.
