Paint on 38a1 Master Cylinder

Post by DMCarpenter »

I have searched, but have not found what color the MC should be painted. The obvious answer seems to be the same color as the frame, but I know how the obvious answer can be 180 degrees out as well.

Thanks:
Dave

Eastwood has a DOT3 resistant paint that looks like cast iron. I used it on my M38 and it works as advertised. Anything else will wrinkle and come off the first time you try to fill your master cyl. Also spray the top side of your heat shield with the same paint.
