willy,s m38a1
I just replaced a full fuel pump kit in my military fuel pump,
but I have found that the shorter bolt of the two that holds pump on to block is stripped.
I have re tapped the thread in engine which is 5/16 unc, but the bolt
is beyond saving.
does anyone know were I can buy 2 x new bolts.
thanks

John at Midwest Military should have them.
You say you had to retapped the block thread, are you sure it is going to hold up? I'd be leery of the new threads you cut, though they may take new bolt, they met be weakend by any stripping that took place and could potentially give way with any torque put on them.
Tip:You should header your post topics with a title relative to the body of the subject at hand. In this case, something maybe like 'Fuel pump bolts'.
Cheers

Don't know if they have the shorter one for the M38A1, but if not I guess you could cut a long one down.

Bolt Stripped
Hey, you're lucky! On mine, the bolt snaped off and I wasn't able to completely remove the old one, had to drill it out and then tap in a new set of threads.
