Engine coolant , anyone using EvanS Waterless Coolant

Post by C5loadmaster »

Is anyone using Evans Waterless Coolant? It has a 375 boiling point. It's expensive but would eliminate corrosion in the engine's water jacket. Plus never needs changing. They say good for engines that aren't run much.

Wondering if anyone has tried it and if they like it.

I have never had a corrosion issue using 50/50 antifreeze. I have had corrosion problems back in the 60's a teenie bopper running just water.

The problem with all the new goodies at the store counter today is that with few exceptions they are all designed for use in modern vehicles operating at over 14 PSI and 200 Degress F. Just like modern engine oils a few traits can sometimes be found adaptable or useable in our classics but in the final analysis they offer no bang for the buck in our classics.

Looks like I will be using the traditional mix. $&% of a lot cheaper for sure.
