jumper recepticle on pass fender

Post by spe »

I have a 3/52 m38 and need a 2 wire set up. Is bendix correct? Do I need one to ground to the fender or to the frame? where can I get one and a price?
thanks

It's called a slave receptacle ORD# 7731421 and sells as a kit. I don't know anyone stocking the correct M38 cable length. The most common kit out there has a 40" + cable and 11" - cable. The + wire goes to the starter switch terminal on the starter. The - wire goes to the front support bolt for the starter. If you can get a receptacle then make your own wires from 2 AWG cable. The + cable is 29" and the - cable is 33".

Also remember they came in early and late receptacles as in single pin or two pin (both of which have two cables).
