Good afternoon:
I have two questions about getting the cam set up on the rebuild.
1) We cannot find any index mark on the cam gear to align it with the crank gear.
2) The manual seems to show a spacer on the cam, but the motor did not have one when torn down.
Any hints would be appreciated. I tried to search for an answer but did not find it.
Thanks:
Dave

Dave,
What vehicle and what engine?
If it's an F head 134 engine then this link from the CJ3B Page might help.

641283 cam gear marking. There are 56 total teeth. Draw a straight line that halves the gear right thru the keyway. that leaves 28 teeth on each half. Counting clockwise from the line coming out of the keyway the mark is on the 14th tooth.

The spacer you are referring to is here with the two bolt holes in it.

Note that the two large holes in the fiber gear are not always in the same relative position to the keyway.
