1955 m170 T90 Shifter stick

Does anyone know if the Transmission shifter stick is black rr Olive Drab for a 1955 M170?

If you look closely at TM 9-8015-2 change 1, page 18 the illustration of the complete M170 chassis and running gear you can see the obviously black radiator and oil filter but all three shifter handles appear OD.
