Bell Housing gasket?

Bell Housing gasket?
My M38 ORD 9 shows a gasket # 8329853 that goes between the bell housing and the transmission. Neither my engine or transmission gasket set contains this gasket. Is this required or was it just for fording operations? Thanks.

It was for fording ops. You can easily make one from very thin gasket sheet. Not thicker than 1/64" or so. Same for the gasket on each side of the bell housing adapter plate.
