Best Repro Tires??

Post by PaulB »

Hey guys, since the ole' M38 still has its original tires; 52' and 53' dated ones and not really servicable anymore. Where is the best place to purchase good repro tires? I heard Corker (sp?) tire makes pretty good WW2 ones but what about post war. :) Thanks

In MArch I bought a set of five Firestone NDCC 7.00x16 tires from Coker for my M-38 CDN... Bit pricey, but what isn't nowadays...

Good quality and they brought them to a show here in Oklahoma and I did not have to pay taxes (ordered them over the phone) or shipping as they brought them with the stuff to sell at the show...

There are several other places to get tires also... you will need to check them out. Also check your local tire dealerships, Tires PLus here in OKC will order them, but I am willing to bet you will pay a price...

Hope this helps...

Coker is located in downtown Chattanooga on 1317 Chestnut Street. Phone ahead and you can pick up your tires. I don’t know how close you are to them though. Tennessee is one of those long states. In South Carolina I am closer to them than Memphis.

Chattanooga is about a three hour drive. I wish I would have known, I drove thru Chattanooga when I brought the Jeep up to Clarksville. Oh Well, maybe I can make a sightseeing trip, go see Lookout Mountain and pick up some tires. Thanks for the info.
