m38a1 brake switch

hello - does any one know if i can convert a rubber connector brake switch to metal connector by just switching the metal connector off of the original and onto the other?

Am i making sense..

The rubber Parker and metal shell Douglas connector elements are just different enough that it's best to go back to bare wire and build the connectors from there, specifically for the female side of the Parker.
