Tool Box lid catch

Post by Cacti_Ken »

What do the parts/ components look like for the tool box lid catch. I don't know what I am missing to fix it.

These are all I have in my archive and my catch is pretty beat up.
Don't know if they help.

I believe the parts on the door are the Ring WO# 674956 ORD# 7375351, Washer ORD# 120393, washer WO# 674993 and Pin, cotter ORD# 119117. The catch which I believe is the striker on the box frame is WO# 674957 ORD# 7375169.

Ok, thanks,

My tool box lid has the boss still on it. I need the little guy that looks like 1/4 inch rod bent into a 90 degree that fits thru the boss and also the washers and ring which attach to it.

The box frame has a ring on top of it. Inside the box frame there is what is left of a piece that hangs down. I am not sure if it has rusted off some.
Can you tell?

Ken,

That is the catch for the latch. when you put the lid down you turn the handle and the "L" shaped latch turns to catch that ledge.

The striker I believe is a part of the box assembly since it is welded in place. The catch would be, I assume, the part on top of the box used to provide a means to pad lock the lid closed.
