headlight trim retaining ring bucket parts

Post by DocThrock »

Are those trim rings supposed to be "chrome"? One of mine is showing a lot of rust. Any replacement ideas for chromed? Seems like I should clean 'em up and paint them OD.

The door is OD and the retaining ring I believe was originally stainless or plated steel.

Ah, so I think I'm talking about the retaining ring. Good source for those rings out there?

The entire headlight bucket assy is a standard GI item used on many trucks. AJP out in PA and DeBella had a lot of headlamp bucket parts.
