So, my engine is spitting oil
It runs strong, and I have no other issues with it, but there is always some on the shovel mounted to my hood. I tried tightening the valve cap, the gasket is pretty new, and it still is spitting a little oil. The longest trip I took it on was the recent one I made to NY, and there was a decent amount all over the top of the engine. I cleaned it up, drained a little oil, and took it for a ride. It is still spitting some new oil, and I can't make out exactly from where. Any suggestions?

Are your fording valves closed? Is the PCV valve stuck closed?

Fording valves are open. How do I check the PCV valve?

If you have the oil canister filter with the oil filter cartridge, the lid gasket will leak at higher engine RPM's if it isn't tight against the gasket. I also had a oil return hose that seeped and spread oil back on the engine from the fan action. All over the top of the engine is most likely the canister gasket if you have one. John

I went through my hoses, and the air ventilator hose between the air intake tube and the oil filler tube had a loose clamp on the air intake side. I repositioned and tightened down the clamp. The hose between the engine valve cover and the oil filler had a bit of a kink in it as well and I straightened it. I took the vehicle for a short run, and so far no oil leak.
