dimmer switch
I removed the dimmer switch a while back.
I noticed that when I depress the switch there is no click, detent, or anything. Should there be?
Also did a continuity test between both terminals, and both terminals and ground, while pressing the switch in.
I did read this earlier post on the switches:
http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules. ... mer+switch
It is an original Douglas switch with Douglas connectors. I did notice the ground wire had no insulation on it.
I'd appreciate some insight to troubleshooting please.
Thanks!
Brian

I just remember the floor dimmer switches from my younger days.
They popped when you stepped on them, and just toggled from bright on to bright off.
Just not sure if the Douglas version should do the same.
Of course the real hint is the Bubba-installed dimmer switch further down the pan towards the floor...................
BTW, did you use 1/16" for your battery box material?
Tks,
Brian

Are you talking about the cowl battery box? I purchased that from John Bizal at midwest military
