I'm guessing it's an XM151? It looks like a version of an XM151E2. Seems the Army experimented with wider tires...hence the flares.
~or~
It could be someones recreation of an XM151. I would think the data tag would tell?
See this: http://www.g838.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t ... 6&start=15
IF its a real XM151 You should DEFINITELY snag it ASAP!!

That might have been a prototype for some special application at that fort. It does not resemble accurately the Ford XM151 Prototypes.

I am guessing a repaired or very modified. The 838 site shows the flare fender XM151A1B looked a bit different.

The very early XM151 has some good photos here:https://plus.google.com/photos/10533514 ... banner=pwa

You never know what you might find out there! I found a year ago or so what I believe was an experimental high flotation M38A1 in a Pennsylvania junk yard. It looked just like the pictures I have seen.
Unfortunately, the seller was clearing out the junk yard and two more unrestorable M38A1's had to go with it which was just to many jeeps to buy.
