bolt holes for side tire mount

Post by keats »

there is a short discussion on the g503 site about these holes. Question was- did all M38's have them

I responded back yes they did and they were left open

another responder wrote back that that was not entirely true in that two of the holes usually had a bolt in them.

My question, did two of these holes have a bolt in them? Which ones and why???

All the M38's had the four holes for the side mount spare bracket.

I have seen factory and Service manuals with photos of all 4 open and the the two horizontal with bolts in them.
