I HAVE USED THE 51 SERIES BATTERY IN THE SMALL COWL AND THE 51R SERIES UNDER THE HOOD BOX :wink:

NAPA HAS THEM , IF NOT THEY CAN GET THEM

Buzz better hope this cold snap doesn't get that far south!

The orange growers will be lighting the smudge pots and freaking out!

Frost on the fort in the early morning light would be cool though...

I have started using the 51R in place of the 2HN. They are standard in a lot of rice boxes so the prices of a good battery are less than half of the originals.
Height is about a half inch shorter.
The down side is that the length and width are smaller so you'll have to come up with a way of securing it. The original hold-down is too large, allows the battery to shift and can short the two terminals in a very bad way.

On the list of projects is to make a small tray adaptor and new hold downs so that the 51R fits and secures in a way that looks correct.
