Plastic Fuel Tank for M38

Post by Rockytop »

Hello guys , is anyone making a plastic fuel tank for the M38 ? or is plastic a bad idea. I have found some for the everything but the M38, just curious if anyone knows of anybody .

Thanks,
Martin

I would not put plastic under my seat. Especially in northern tier states where if something wedged under the seat it would crack a very cold & stiff plastic tank.

Scepter builds an extremely stout 5gal fuel can. They would be my 1st choice for a mfgr if they were inclined to get into that market. Just imagine a fuel tank that doesn't rust from inside-out!!
But Wes' reply is spot on concerning breakage.
