Buying and Selling parts on this Site.

Post by RICKG »

Many of us enjoy buying and selling parts on this site. We have the opportunity to turn over unneeded/duplicate parts or find needed parts from fellows with like interests. Misunderstandings can arise when communication is lost or expectations are not met. I recently endured an episode where I was the seller and commo /expectation did not add up. Thru no fault of my own the buyer walked away unhappy. Doesn't feel good.

In almost 5yrs in this outfit my buying/selling experience has been overwhelming positive. It can, however, go the other way.
Just wanted to get it off my chest, thx for listening

Rick, some people can't be pleased. If it was new or you gave it to them, they still wouldn't. Just move on. Now, that said, what do you need? I may have something for you to buy. John

The tough part about the new age of buying and selling electronically is the data loss and time lag.

The days of driving over and looking at a table of stuff are nearly over.

For buyer and seller alike, information is critical.

Rule 1. I do't buy anything on Ebay without a photo. If I have a funny feeling I just don't bite.

Rule 2. Ask questions.

If issues, ask for more information or more photos.

We are all here to help one another. Bad feelings or negative experiences don't help anyone.

I have had nothing but positive results from any transactions here, but I follow rules 1 AND 2.

In the end, particularly on Ebay if I choose to violate rules 1 and or 2:

It's my fault.

In the end, I've managed to purchase or receive several items via this website that I consider deals that were without value. No way I could have found those items anywhere else, for a reasonable value.

Just my two cents.
