If making patch panels, 18ga. cold rolled works well.
last time I checked prices, around here about $47 a 4X8 sheet.

If you have a sheet metal shop in your area they might sell off reminants at a good price.

I have read on this forum in the past that the floor is 16 GA and all other is 18 GA. Makes sense but I don't know if it is correct.

When I redid my floors, I did them and the hats in 16 the rest in 18. Haven't seen you around here for a while Jim, welcome back.

Can you back me up on documentation for the 16GA for floor thing, or am I blowing smoke?

Mainly because I have been making squat for progress on my project! Undented and painted a Toyota Corolla in the meantime, and restored a portable forge, and now have a garden trailer improvement and repaint project in the works, and then I have to undent and paint my wife's Subaru Forester. Willys waited sixty years, I guess he can wait a little longer . . .

I would consider the floors as major panels and TM 9-1804B page 163 Par. 153 says all major panels are 18 gauge.

That sounds pretty definitive! My tub is easily accessible right now, so I'll make some thickness measurements at several points and report back.
