Rodent in Jockey Box..aarrgg!

Was having a problem with a mouse critter somehow getting into my glove box and tearing stuff up-dang those guys can make a mess!

I ran across this product at tractor supply and tried it out for a couple of weeks, just chuck a pouch of it into the box, it seems to work as the tenant has moved out. Doesn't smell too bad either.

It runs about 5 bucks a pouch, a box of 4 goes for 20 bucks. Any of you other guys have to go on "Rat Patrol"??

Camphor Balls and Fabreze sheets work well too.

I've gone to setting baited wooden old style mouse traps. They can't resist peanut butter. Seems to be working well. In my shop I have 8 traps set. The little bastages irritate me to death. They like to use your seat padding to make a nest. I've declared war. John

Fortunately no, the cool document pouch you gave me is safe. The missus Kleenex pocket pouch, however, is another story..

On the M274 mules, we have a problem with mice building nests under the left engine shroud. The nests block the air flow around the left cylinder and can cause the piston to seize. This might be something to try to keep them out.
Here's how bad it can be:

The rat pee is so corrosive, it will actually eat up the aluminum parts over time!

Mice, roof rats, or pack rats? There's also pack mice. Then the little red devils-------squirrels.

That mule engine suffered and it's the second one I have seen that mice killed. Declare war, wood traps, peanut butter and make friends with the crows who love fresh mice for breakfast.
They like enclosed spaces: my glove box stays open all winter.

I have a jack russel, nothing unauthorised comes in the yard or he eats it. Mice, moles, rats, snakes, birds, rabbits, whatever keeps them all out.

I have had good luck with the product mentioned. Absolutely no luck with Febreeze fabric sheets, the mice actually ate them in my RV one winter!

The Fabreze are used with the camphor balls to help sweeten the smell!

2X on the terriers.. I've got 2 mixed breed terriers that can detect and destroy a rodent hidden under 100 lbs of hay!

We don't use poison around here, and are careful of the other chemicals, such as anti-freeze. As the sign says by the door "we got rid of the kids the dog was allergic". When we moved here there were plenty of mice in the outbuildings took him a year to clear them all out but haven't seen any since.
