Hard Top

You all think this is worth $300? Any idea if it will fit an M38A1?

To answer your question - No, unless you are willing to put in a lot of your own labor to make the top right. You're still missing the correct windshield frame and the back. It's for a M38, not a M38A1, while the two jeeps are similar in size in the rear seat area, the front part of the tubs around the door opening and windshield area are differently shaped.

The price is not out of line. I see no attaching brackets there. They will be difficult to reproduce. The missing windshield shows up about once a year on the ads.

The post above is very correct. That top will require major modifications to adapt it to the door attachment areas and the windshield. That roof is about 5 or 6" longer then the A1 roof.

The A1 has a very unique arctic top which camwe with wood doors. They are scarce. If you want a motor pool class M38A1 for judging then you will have to hunt for the correct top. If you just want a winter top use a CJ5 civvy top. Easy to adapt rear gate lift panel to the A1's "no tailgate" tub.
