I'm looking for so type of exploded view of the steering box assembly.
and how the horn rod fits in and the connection to the horn> Or am I just looking in the wrong place for this.
I finally got all the old crusty grease out of the shaft, and the assembly box cleaned up.

There are several places to read:
Start with your TM 9-1804B page 152. If you do not have this TM yet it is free on our downloads page: http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules. ... it&lid=125
Then I also have the Ross Factory Service manual on our downloads page as well: http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules. ... it&lid=136
Don't forget the exploded views in the ORD 9 SNL G-740 M38 Parts Manual. Again if you don't have one it's in the Downloads page free in PDF.
Then there is my huge photo album with several hundred detailed technical photos free for the viewing. This should always be your first stop when looking for an illustration. http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules. ... _album.php
In this case you should look in my M38 Running Gear sub-album: http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules. ... _album.php
Here's one:

And finally there's the CJ civvy service manuals: Key chapters are in my photo album as well:
CJ2A thru CJ3B http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules. ... _album.php
CJ3B & CJ5/6: http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules. ... _album.php
I keep adding to these over time. Keep your eye open for a copy on the open market. That have a lot of little details not found in the military manuals.

wealth of information
that is a wealth of information, I've gone through the down loads and some of the photos. some times it's just hard to figure out what I'm looking for. Kind of like where do you start........
Anyway I think you have me on the right track now.
And yes a big THANK YOU to who ever scanned all the information. and to you for the photos. I think I have hundreds just pulling the jeep apart. Some are helpful when it comes time to reassemble, but when there is parts miss, Then figure out what is missing, can be over whelming. I never noticed the master cinder was missing when I ripped her apart, but as I'm roughing the brake lines in....mmmm I know whats missing now.
