Original Part Numbers needed

Post by southpw »

So I'm ordering a rebuild kit from Then and Now for my dual pump and see they sell engine and transmission mounts. They are asking me for original Part Numbersso they ccan correctly match the right mounts. I can't for the life of me find the parts in ORD 9 SNL G-740 for the following items
left and right motor mounts
transmission mount
transfer case mount
any help would be very much appreciated. And how you found it in the book would be even more valuable so I can see it for myself

Some things can be a little tougher than others to find. Think about what each part supports.

The side mount rubber on the tranny crossmember supports the transfercase at the right side. You'll find all those supports, cups and bolts on page 198.

The rear engine mount supports the rear of the tranny. But looking up tranny won't help here. Instead think of it as the support for the rear of the engine then look up engine assembly. In power plant assembly note they call power plant assembly everything from the fan to the tranny. So you will find the rear engine assembly support on page 25. (Bracket, mounting rear). Then just below that you will find Cushion, engine support and a quantity of 2 each.

Thanks Wes. I have been using the book to find part numbers for things such as brakes and other very specific items but got stumped on these parts since they aren't exactly part specific (as you mentioned).
Thanks again

The front side mounts differ significantly from the civvy jeeps. The civvy jeeps do not have the socket in their side mounts for the radiator support rods found on the M38.
