2016 Denton, NC military vehicle and surplus show

Post by wilfreeman »

I didn't see it in the Events section, so here are a couple of links to the 2016 show. NOTE: We are trying to get MAXIMUM participation for this and next year's show in order to ensure that it continues to happen! So, if at all possible, we would like to see anyone that is within driving distance try to attend this event. Come for the day or come and camp/eat from the MKT for the entire 4 day event. There will be a BBQ convoy to a fellow member's house for home made BBQ and a convoy/trail ride another day. The event is open to the public (for a small gate fee) if you decide not to bring/drive your HMV. Please plan on coming.

Never miss this show. Never seem to have an MV finished and running, but a great time with great friends.

I will be there. I will also try to pass on the word to some other MV enthusiasts.

We need more local events like this. I hope everyone can make it for this. I can't wait.

I live pretty close and most likely won't be staying on site. I there a schedule for this event. I've only seen that we're doing "this" on this day and "this" on this day but very few times associated with it.

Thanks,

Ken

Are you a Steel Soldiers member Ken? We have a few "extra" things going on for us. But the normal show is Friday-Sunday with the main event happening on Saturday with the public. The event is open to the public all. 3 days, but most folks show up on Saturday.

I'll try to locate a schedule.

I'm going to be at Fort Bragg, NC for my Captain's Career Course 11 April - 6 May. We're in class 6 days a week but Denton looks to be about 90 miles from Fort Bragg so potentially close enough for me to get there later on Saturday (depending on class schedule) or on Sunday. Is anyone in the Fort Bragg area maybe heading over one of those days that I could get a ride with?
Not allowed to POV it down there though I plan to in July when I'm back for my Qualification Course.
Thanks!

I know bikeman is coming from Ft. Bragg, but he will be there on Wednesday or Thursday. If you're registered on SS, you can ask in the main thread. I haven't been keeping up with all of the posts (37 pgs. of posts).
