Gas cap gasket material.

Post by Bobber »

For gas cap gasket, should I use cork material or something better. Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks. Rusty

If you check either parts manual M38 or M38A1 they both call for rubber. You should always post which model jeep you are inquiring about. Easiest way to insure we are all on the same page is for you to go to your profile and add the model of your jeep and your name (Rusty) to your signature block and that information will always appear at the end of your posts automatically.

Midwest Military has good NOS gaskets that do not soften up when you install it like the repro ones do.
