Carter 1-897
Can anyone tell me which jeeps uses this carb? I found a couple in the barn.

Yeah, the number came from the cast iron body. The only other numbers were patent numbers. They resemble the carb on my M38. My dad had a 1953 M38A1 and he acquired a number of spare parts, including these carbs. Doesn't look like they were ever used, although they're covered in dust and surface rust.
