Need help finding plaque data for 1954 M38A1

Hi there! I just purchased a new to me 1954 M38A1 Willys and I am trying to locate the data for my plaques. The PO had the whole thing Rhino lined took them off and never put any of them back on, so if any one as ANY help on my guessing game or pointers to look that would be amazing!!!

MFR. SER. NO.
DATE DEL.
INSPECTED

and on the responsible party plate the bottom

PROCUREMENT MTD. EQUPT. and the
DEPOT MAINTENANCE MTD. EQUPT.

The Title I have says 1954 Willys with the vin 72532 which im assuming means my serial number is MD 72532?

I recall answering this question elsewhere recently.

There are well over 300 technical photos in my album. Folks use it regularly to solve their problems. If you go to the sub-album http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules. ... _album.php you will find the answer to most of these data plate question.

Many states titled vehicles by their engine numbers and not the chassis serial. The 72532 could be the engine serial. Without dash & patent plates you can only guess.
