M38 Hood Seam

Post by Cacti_Ken »

When I took ownership of my M38, the seam in the center of the hood was filled in with bondo and smoothed out. Those of you who have seen a number of jeeps in your time, Do most or all of the jeeps or just some of the jeeps show the seam or are they filled in :?: Wondering what I should do with mine. Go to the task of removing the bondo or leave it alone. All comments appreciated.

Remove the bondo. Seam should show. A little seam sealer in it probably wouldn't hurt, but the seam should show as far as I know.

Mine came with a seam. It leaks, so when it's outside,
I put a small floor mat over the block to keep the
spark plug recesses from getting wet and rusting.
