M-38 Project Rasta in PR

Hello, I am in the process of restoring my M-38. Since my dad has it has never had the hood numbers. Anyone knows if the hood numbers have anything to do with the serial number or anything in the data plates? I will post pictures later of the progress

The hood numbers were issued by the Army to Willys in batches per each jeep contract. They do not match serial number progression. Do a search here for suggestions for determining a reasonably accurate hood for your jeep.
