Color Red
While detailing my M38 I have found that many of the Grease zeros (not all) have red on them, also the plugs on the differentials and the guards which are screwed onto the valve stems. Was this standard? thanks!

Depending on period and which service units both Red and yellow were often used in the field.

The red was applied in the field. If you want the jeep the way it left Willys do not use red.
