M38 frame or not?

M38 frame or not?

The picture above shows what I am told is an M38 frame. I'm curious because the cross member seems wrong from everything I have seen. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I'm looking for a good M38 frame and the price is right on this if it is correct.

The more I look at other pictures. The more this appears to be a GPW frame.

Definately not an M38 frame.

Wow,

A full day to get someone to actually recognize that frame!!! You two would have caught it quicker if the photos had shown the voltage regulator tray. :wink:

I saw the blocked in front frame rails and machine gun mount and the
non-M38 front crossmember and figured it was an A1, but figured
sonething was up if you didn't identify it as such.

Didn't figure you were playing stump the chumps!

That PO plate on the front crossmember looks stout.
