Body Steps

I need to replace both steps on my M38. Just wondering which suppliers have the best steps. Any comments from people who have replaced steps would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave

I have a related question that Dave can
use the answer to.

The replacement steps all have a turned up vertical
edge. To install does one put this behind the cowl
or cut out the cowl and weld it flush?

Apologize in advance Dave.

I need at least one step also.
Tks,

You really should leave this page for it's intended purpose and post that question on the tech board. I would suggest you delete this post or just show a reference here to the tech board post for folks that may be interested.

Plenty of NOS left side steps available at RFJP for $10. Maybe he has the right side too?

Brian,

Go to my restoration thread and post your question about the steps. I posted a picture of my passenger side step that I will be replacing soon. Looks like there are a couple of options. Ron Fitzpatric selling NOS steps and others selling repro steps. The repro steps may be easier to replace since they have the welding tabs as you indicated. Midwest Military does not have repros for the M38.
