Cowl battery drain hose M38
I am unable to locate the drain hose used on the battery cowl box for my M38. It is on the bottom of the tray and drains out the firewall. It's kind of a special little hose, thin walled with an "L". Anyone have a source?

The topic has been discussed a lot over the years here on this site. Google the topic and read a few of the posts for both the M38 and the M38A1. I don't recall anyone making repops.
I have a few photos in my album: http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules. ... _album.php

John,
The last word I heard on this you were not inclined to produce these hoses. Have you went in a different direction since then?

Carioca,
These pages should help you decide what parts you need for the M38 cowl battery box drain.

The above two pages are from the 1951 ORD 9 SNL G-740

This is from the 1955 ORD 9 SNL G-740. Note the hose & clamp were omitted in this manual.

I didn't post the above pages to point you towards the photos in the supply parts manual.
They are not illustrated in the supply parts manuals.
I posted the pages so you could see where the listings were and to help you learn to use the Army parts Manual.
If you need all the drains parts then you will have a tough time finding them new. You may be able to find the metal parts used. You will most likely have to fabricate the rubber hose.
John, at Midwest Military Parts has not indicate which exact part number hose he has in stock.
The part numbers you need are the ones marked with red arrows above:
Hose, Willys Part Number 673506
Tube, Willys Part Number A-4690
Clamp, Willys Part Number 53108

Check with Brent Mullins... I purchased 2 L shaped hoses from him... I believe they are fro the M-38 or are the long hose for the M-38A1...
