Carb Kits

Post by Mikemc »

I am looking for carb kit for my Ys 950s and would also like to replace the float. When trying to shop online I see kits ranging from $35-$70 that look pretty much the same. When rebuilding Rochester carbs I always insisted on genuine Delhi kits. Can someone point me to a source or the best kit available. Thanks, Mike

I second that. I got a carb rebuild kit from somewhere else before I bought one from Midwest Military. I discovered that the older one didn't have the right parts but John's is exactly what you need.

The reason for the wide spread in cost is the contents of the kit and the age of the kit.

Avoid the old NOS left over kits because they may contain tired rubber parts or rubber parts made of older composites that are not capable of handling the modern gas additives.

That leave the two modern kits out there. One is extremely complete. That is the kit sold by Midwest Military & AJP. Ron F's kit seem to be short a few parts like closeout plugs for passageways.

A short visit by you to my photo album would give you a lot of insight into the carb issues.

For example:
