M38A1 Door Hinge

Post by Jeeps4Brains »

My windshield is original and the top rod front holders are supposed to be for the M38A1.

I just received what are NOS door to windshield slotted hinges. But when I hold them up to the frame they are hitting the top rod holders.

What is going on and what is not correct?

Well your rod holders are A1. They are spot welded on the M38.

On the M38 the door canvas holders will only go in one location
because of the half round cutout that fits around the round tube
on the windshield frame.

Do you have the brackets in the right location?

Isn't it supposed to fit down the outside of the windshield frame not on the inside as you have it?I think it is upside down.

The door channels are not correct.

The channels go on the inside!

Compare the part numbers on your NOS upper door hinges to this kit parts list.

Wes,
Could they be upside down and on the wrong sides?

I think radtech got it. I was holding the divers side piece upside down on the passenger side.

Duh!
