Unique Battery Cover

Always knew I has a custom (non-original) battery cover on my 53 M38A1 but after sandblasting it this week, discovered what it was. Turns out it is the lid from an ammo box: 2.25 Rocket Container MK2 1945, Navy. Think I will keep it - these service mechanics were pretty resourceful - anyone else seen anything similar?

Bob,
thx for the suggestion - got me off my butt and figured out how to do pics...the pic of the stamped label is hard to see unless you open in new tab and zoom in...
