From what I can see, using a magnetic drain plug on a crankcase has nothing but an up side.
I know - not original, but invisible to the jeep police.
Anybody using one on your Go Devil?

Magnetic Oil Plug
I got little round magnets from Harbor Freight, epoxy glued them to the plug. I first checked clearances when I had the Oil Pan off. I'm happy with the results. I did the same thing years ago on my volkswagon bug.
