Early Starter

Post by Boze »

Is there an adjustment for the switch contacts like the later starter? Seems like my foot pedal hits a stop before the switch closes. Trying to avoid buying a switch I don’t need. Thanks.

The early starters for the M38 can be a real Pita to properly set up. The procedure is spelled out in TM 9-1825B dated Nov 52. This starter is covered in Chapter 6 pages 316 thru 348. The adjustments are on pages 332 thru 336. You need a pair of special tools. I don't have that chapter of that manual loaded in the downloads section.
