I am wondering if this count is for folks logged into the site or browsing the site...
I ask as I have my Browser to automatically log me into the site... Do not know how that work exactly but I may be away and site thinks I am there...
Just a thought...

Those counts include all users having an active connection to the web site either by selecting it from their browser deliberately or having it pre-loaded in their opening page weather they are actively engaged with viewing the site or not. Weather they are current members or not.

I only log in ("register") when I have something to say.....which is too often....
Most of the time I'm on-line here shopping as a "guest".

Some interesting stats looking at the Members List:
Month Year Forum Created: March 2005
Total Members: 5,352
Total posts: 65,036
The top 100 Members (2%) by number of posts have 45,599 posts (70% of the total) since the forum was created.
Even if you take the #1 poster (Wes) out of the line up (has 13,558 posts, 21% of the total), the top 100 members still have 62% of the posts.
4,799 Members (90%) have 10 or less posts.
3,768 Members (70%) have zero posts.
For those that use it, especially the interactive part, this site is a gold mine!
Thanks Wes!

You are welcome Ron. The reason our site does so well is Ryan and I started out on the g503 board in the 90's. Back then if you didn't have an MB or GPW the membership tolerated you but that was it. There were a small group of prima donnas that hogged the playing field and always talked down their nose to any new guy or anyone with a different model jeep. They forced their very narrow minded opinions of what they thought was right down your throat. I decided in 96 I wasn't going to try and enjoy a hobby with folks like that. I started the M38/M38A1 Yahoo Group. I ran a tight ship and screened all new members, made sure none of the prima donnas got into it and maintained law and order on the board. A few years later we had 3,000 members and it was a very peaceful yet informative place to discus our hobby. By this time the G503 site had added the different make/model/category boards but the same core group controlled the chatter on the board and treated new folks and Non-MB/GPW folks like crap. Ryan & I met at a Midwest Willys Club jeep rally in Jefferson City MO around 2003 and we discussed opening a new web site with forums. Todays WWW.willysmjeeps.com was the result of that meeting. Our plan was to build a working free web site where folks were treated fair and on an equal basis. We decided to stay focused on post WWII mjeeps. In the past 13 years I have only terminated 2 people from our site. For 8 or 9 years we ran the same Forum software as the G503 site did. Then a few years ago Ron upgraded to a late edition. The G has improved a lot over the years as well. We hope this site will still be here long after Ryan and I are gone.
