24volt electrical testing and maintenance

Post by sarkis18d »

I have plans to bring my m38 back into the 24 volt world. I tried the down load link for the auto-lite regulatore and dont understand as it looks like the 6 volt regulator to me. any help with testing the generator or coil. any one know if I can just use two batteries and jump my starters to test them. any help would be great, pics, measurements and where to buy repair parts, thanks

You need to go back and read all the way thru it. Pages 132 thru 143 are general description data and apply to all regulators. The included pages from the Group 4 section, pages 168 thru 195, are correct for the M series regulators used in the water proof 24 volt systems. Be careful when you view the illustrations. They often show the 24 volt regulator without it's water proof plug connections so this will probably confuse you.

Be more than glad to swing by and help you out if you need it...

I know you would, I've been looking for a nice pick up. Got any idea where I might find one?
