Shovel blade

Has anyone used something on the shovel blade to keep it from gouging into the tub and removing the paint?

The best thing to use is a canvas cover.

Split a piece of rubber hose; about the same size you would use for a fuel line; and slide it over the end.

Go to parts store and get some door egde guard.
